Jonathan Contreras is a singer-songwriter, musician and actor from El Paso, TX. As a songwriter Jonathan is greatly influenced by the music and writing of Tom Waits, David Bowie and Kate Bush. Usually self accompanied on guitar or accordion and occasionally piano, like all of these artists, Jonathan is a musical chameleon jumping from Americana to Rock, to Country to Cabaret with abandon. Jonathan has performed throughout El Paso and the nearby region at Three Missions Brewery, Craft Rhythm & Brews, Mesilla Valley Mall, Old Sheepdog Brewery, The Nature House, Sofar Sounds El Paso, and the 2023 Water Lantern Festival as well as a featured performer (numerous times) for the Barbed Wire Open Mic Series. When not playing locally Jonathan travels the country as a regional theatre actor. .
